Self care is a requisite for well being. No, I’m not talking about self centeredness, nor being selfish. And, let’s put spa remedies, pedicures and buying sprees aside. They are indulgences that belong in the pamper category. We will consider these an extra layer of treatment.
Self treatment has emerged as a hot topic today. In some way we need to be reminded to rejuvenate ourselves and regain pleasure in our existence. Self care is the basis of both becoming existing and moving forward. It is the veneer between bare essentials and minimal indulgences. Trying to keep our self care in verify and alive assists us navigate tough terrains when those bumps occur.
When I listen to somebody say -Susan is so outstanding, she puts everyone else first, prior to herself-, it tends to make me curious on what merit that has in somebody else’s eyes. If Susan keeps heading in that path, sooner or later on she is going to meet up with a level of bodily, emotional and/or psychological stress that might be downright depleting.
